Is the scanner having trouble reading your symbols?
Ifthescannerisnotreadingsymbolswell,checkthatthesymbols:
• Arenotsmeared,rough,scratched,orexhibitingvoids.
• Arenotcoatedwithfrostorwaterdropletsonthesurface.
• Areenable dinthebasetowh ichthescannerconnects.
Is the bar code displayed but not entered into the application?
Thebarcodeisdisplayedonthehostdevicecorrectly,butyoustill
havetopressakeytoenterit(theEnter/ Returnkeyorthe Tabkey,
forexample).
Youneedtoprogramasuffix.Programmingasuffixenablesthe
scannertooutputthebarcodedataplusthekey
youneed(suchas
“CR”)toenterthedataintoyourapplication.RefertoPrefix/ Suffix

Does the scanner read the bar code incorrectly?
Ifthescannerreadsabarcode,butthedataisnotdisplayedcorrectly
onthehostscreen:
• Thebasemaynotbeprogrammedfortheappropriateterminal
interface.Forexample,youscan“12345”andthehostdisplays
“@es%.”
ReprogramthebasewiththecorrectPlugandPlayorTerminal

