2-10 Setup and Operation
The legend bar at the bottom of the Main Menu shows the command keys to use to exit
the Main Menu, select a menu option, change the background color of the screen, and save
settings and exit Setup.
To choose a selection from the Main Menu, use the keyboard’s up or down arrow keys
to highlight the selection, then press Enter. A message similar to the following appears on
the screen.
For normal operation, press any key to continue to the Setup selection. If the system locks
up for any reason, reboot the system by pressing the Ctrl Alt Del keys. Press the Del key to
enter Setup.
The following sections describe how to use the Main Menu selections to set system
parameters.
Standard CMOS Setup
This menu modifies the basic system features, as outlined in the following table.
Select a parameter by using the keyboard arrow keys and pressing the Enter key. Press the
PgUp or PgDn key to modify the parameter. Press Esc to exit back to the Main Menu. At
the Main Menu, press F10 to save and exit the Setup program. Table Section 2-1 list the
standard CMOS Setup parameters.
CAUTION: Incorrect settings can cause the
system to malfunction.

Improper Use of Setup may Cause Problems!
If System Hangs, Reboot System and Enter Setup by pressing the <DEL> Key
Do any of the following After Entering Setup
(i) Alter Options to make System Work
(ii) Load BIOS Setup Defaults
(III) Load Power-On Defaults
Hit <ESC> to Stop now, Any Other Key to Continue
