Configure Rapid STP (802.1w)

CLI: Configure Rapid STP (802.1w)
(Netgear switch) (Config)# spanning-tree
(Netgear switch) (Config)# spanning-tree forceversion 802.1w
(Netgear switch) (Interface 1/0/3)# spanning-tree port mode
Web Interface: Configure Rapid STP (802.1w)
1. Enable 802.1w on the switch:
a. Select Switching > STP > STP Configuration. A screen similar to the following
displays.
b. Enter the following information:
• For Spanning Tree Admin Mode, select the Enable radio button.
• For Force Protocol Version, select the IEEE 802.1w radio button.
c. Click Apply.
2. Configure the CST port.
