An FFT-7 will not operate unless:
• You connect Power to the FFT-7
• You connect the control harness between the AMG-1 and the FFT-7
• You set the AMG-1 or EIA-485 communication through the CPU ACS port (TB4)
For instructions on making these connections, refer to the AFC-600 Installation
Manual.

To page through the FFT-7, follow these instructions:
1. Make sure the
ON LINE
green LED is on.
2. Pick up the telephone handset.
3. Press the
PAGE
button (the
PAGE MODE
green LED goes on).
4. Speak into the telephone handset.
5. When finished paging, press the
PAGE
button (the
PAGE MODE
green LED goes out)
and hang up the telephone handset.

To answer a call with an FFT-7, follow these instructions:
1. When the VCM-4 sounder produces a pulsing tone and the telephone circuit green
LED flashes, pick up the telephone handset.
2. Press the VCM-4 telephone circuit’s switch associated with the flashing LED.
3. Speak into the telephone headset.
4. When finished with the conversation, hang up the telephone handset.
