Troubleshooting
Due to parameter setting faults, faulty wiring, and so on, the Inverter and motor may not operate as expected
when the system is started. If that occurs, use this section as a reference and perform the appropriate counter-
measures.
If the contents of the fault are displayed, refer to page -2, Protective and Diagnostic Functions.
îš‹ If A Parameter Cannot Be Set
Use the following information if a parameter cannot be set.
The display does not change when the Increment and Decrement keys are pressed.
The following causes are possible:
The Inverter is operating (drive mode).
There are some parameters that cannot be set during operation. Turn off the RUN command and then set the
parameters
Parameter write enable is input.
This occurs when "Parameter Write Enable" (set value: 1B) is set for a multi-function input terminal (H1-01 to
H1-05). If the Parameter Write Enable input is OFF, the parameters cannot be changed. Turn it ON and then
set the parameters.
Passwords do not match. (Only when a password is set.)
If the parameter A1-04 (Password) and A1-05 (Password Setting) settings are different, the parameters for the
initialize mode cannot be changed. Enter the correct password in A1-04.
If you cannot remember the password, display A1-05 (Password Setting) by pressing the Shift/RESET key
and the MENU key simultaneously while in the A1-04 display. Then set the password and input the set pass-
word in parameter A1-04.
OPE01 through OPE11 is displayed.
The set value for the parameter is wrong. Refer to Table 7.3 in this chapter and correct the settings.
CPF00 or CPF01 is displayed.
This is a Digital Operator communication fault. The connection between the Digital Operator and the Inverter
may be faulty. Remove the Digital Operator and then re-install it.
