Power Off the Server (Oracle ILOM)
You can use the SPM to perform a graceful shutdown of the server, and to ensure that all of
your data is saved and the server is ready for restart.
Note - Additional information about powering off the server is provided in Servers
Administration.
1.
Prepare to power off the server.
See “Prepare to Power Off the Server” on page 51.
2.
Switch from the system console to the Oracle ILOM prompt by typing the #.
(Hash-Dot) key sequence.
3.
Power off the server.
-> stop /System
Note - You can also use the Server Power button on the front of the server to initiate
a graceful server shutdown. (See “Power Off the Server (Server Power Button -
Graceful)” on page 53.) This button is recessed to prevent accidental server power-off.
