7) Be sure to replace the covers removed for adjustment.
8) Please avoid unreasonable work for the first 2-3 hours so that each part will be fully
familiarized.
9) Don't forget to take care of it after work and perform regular inspections.
10) Look around the entire machine and check each part for oil leaks.
5.3.1 Wire / Belt adjustment for each part
Before adjusting the belt, wire, and rod, be sure to stop the engine on a flat and wide area.
After removing the key and applying the parking brake, check the safety sufficiently before
proceeding.
① To adjust the belt and knife brake, place your hand on the arrow, open the seat bracket
so that it is pulled up, and stand the seat upright. (When you lift it, it will be fixed in that
position.)
② When adjusting the wire rod, make sure to remove the side cowl.
③ Ask your dealer to replace the Driving belt and Knife belt. Special tools and techniques are
required to replace the belt.
① Driving belt adjustment (Under part of engine)
The Driving belt is always in tension. If the belt slips while driving, change the tension spring
hooking position and adjust the belt tension by referring to the photo below. Normally, a
tension spring is applied to the third hole from the rear side. To increase the tension, re-
hang it on the second hole from the rear side. In addition, the extension of the spring when
the belt is normally stretched is about 120 mm as a guide. (Free length of spring is 80mm)。
