4. How to operate and work
※Please be sure to read 「1. Before use」 before using.
In particular, after carefully reading and understanding 「1.1 Working Conditions」,
「1.2 Before Working」, and 「1.3 During Working」then gping to operation.
4.1 How to start / stop the engine
4.1.1 How to start the engine
When starting the engine, carefully check the position of each lever and the safety around it.
Do not start or warm up the engine in a closed room. Starting the engine in a closed room can
pollute the air with harmful exhaust gas and cause gas poisoning. Since it is equipped with a
gasoline engine, there is a risk of ignition of cigarettes and bonfires near this product, which is
extremely dangerous. Please never do it.

1）Be sure to sit in the seat and start.
2）Be sure to depress (lock) the parking brake pedal to start. If the pedal is not depressed,
the safety switch will operate and the engine will not start.
3）Be sure to set the cutting height adjustment lever to the "move" position. The safety
switch is activated except in the "move" position and the engine does not start.
For safety, please observe the above three "must" when starting the engine.
① Set the fuel cock to the "open" position.
② Please sit on the seat.
③ Depress the parking brake pedal to apply the brake
stopper. If the change pedal or shift lever is in a position
other than the neutral "N" position, return it to the neutral
"N" position.
