X8 | SERVICE MANUAL
Setting the serial number and mac address
Place the downloaded les (update-plain.sh, update-x4.sh)
in a FAT32 Formatted USB Pen Drive. (4,8,16 GB max)
Open the le "update -plain.sh" with the program
Note Pad ++
Insert amp model: X8
Insert the serial number (see label on the cover)
Insert the Mac Address number, this may be found on
the DIGI Board:
Note: all serial numbers comprise 8 digits and
quotation marks, for example: “12345678”
Warning: the first 6 digits of the Mac address
(highlighted in red) should never be changed!
Click on “save”
Turn the amplier ON.
Remove the USB key from the PC and plug it in
the amp.
As soon as the leftmost button (left to the USB port)
lights up, press and hold the rightmost button.
Wait 2.5 minutes, once all the LEDs tourn BLUE.
Remove the Pen Drive and perform a FW Update procedure.
Download the latest version of Notepad plus++ at the following site: https://notepad-plus-plus.org/download/
Download the les from the Powersoft’s website Restricted Area:
Service Centre Rack AMPS - FW Accessories - X Series Info Settings
Place the downloaded les (update-plain.sh, update-x8.sh) on a FAT32 Formatted USB Pen Drive.
Example:
“00:21:84:00:53:BD”
1 2 3 4
CHECK IF THE SERIAL NUMBER IS CORRECT BY CONNECTING AND DISCOVERING THE UNIT TO ARMONìA.
