The RMP contains a local
horn
and these
backttt
status indicators:
SYSTEM NORMAL
The UPS is energized (either with
utility
power or battery backup) and is supplying
conditioned power to the critical load.
NO REDUNDANCY
This indicator applies only to parallel
systems when one cabinet is not
functioning. This feature is not available on
this system.
ON GENERATOR
This
alarm
means that the UPS input and
bypass
are
being supplied by the power
from the generator, instead of tom the
utllll
power.
ON
BYPASS
The bypass source is
supptying
the
crittcat
load.
Usuaffy
this means that the UPS is
not energized. The load is not protected in
Bypass mode, and a
horn
sounds after 30
seconds.
UPS ALARM
The UPS system is issuing an alarm.
Cofldiions
that effeci the curreni
UPS
mode are indicated by the alarm lamps and
horn
on the UPS. The following conditions
do not immediately affect the current mode,
and the
horn
sounds after 30 seconds:

UPS Overload
l
UPS over-temperature but not
crittcal
l
Building alarm (external alarm)
ON
BATTERY
The UPS battery backup
is
supplying the
crltlcal
load. The
utility
power
is
either
intenuped
or out of
specifrcatton.
The
SYSTEM NORMAL indicator
is
atso
IK
BYPASS UNAVAILABLE
The UPS system is in Normal mode, but a
bypass
source is not within
speckicatton.
A
horn
sounds after 30 seconds.
SHUTDOWN IMMINENT
The UPS is preparing to shut down due to one of these
situattons:
l
System overload wlth no bypass available
l
The UPS is in
Sattery
mode and the DC
voltage
is approaching its low
liml
l
Overtemperature
l
UPS failure
\
This light is accompanied by an audible
atarm
horn.
