Preparing the UPS for Installing
Optional
Cabinets or Accessories
If you are installing optional cabinets or accessories, such as a
PDM
cabinet, an
input transformer cabinet, or an
RMR
you must prepare the UPS cabinet for the
installation of these options. Refer to Figure 10 on page
18
for the locations of the
items mentioned in these procedures.
To prepare the
UPS for joining ii to an input transformer, PDM, or both:
1.
Se sure the UPS is turned off and all power sources are removed. (See the
Operator’s Manual for instructions.)
2. Remove the left side panel of the UPS and set it aside.
3.
Open the doors of the UPS.
4. Remove the safety shield located behind the left door. Set the safety shield and
hardware aside for later reuse.
To prepare the UPS for wiring
it
to an RMF RIM, or remote EPO:
1.
Se sure the UPS is turned off and all power sources are removed. (See the
Operator’s Manual for instructfons.)
2.
Open the doors of the UPS.
3. Remove the safety shield located behind the left door. Set the safety shield and
hardware aside for later reuse.
