This book describes the serial communications feature of the
Powerware’ Plus SO Uninterruptible Power Suppfy (UPS). Two serial
communications ports on the UPS let you connect equipment to view system event
information similar to that shown on the UPS Monitor Panel.
The following chapters describe the serial communications feature, and provide
information about connecting hardware, setting up the ports, changing settings. and
changing modes. For more information about system events and general UPS operation,

Using This Book
The text in this book uses these conventions:
