Remote Monitor Mode

Remote Monitor mode allows you to connect a port to a Remote Monitor Panel (RMP) or a
Relay Interface module (RIM). This mode provides the communications settings required
for the RMP or RIM to communicate with the UPS In Remote Monitor mode, the baud rate
must always be set to 300 baud. You can install up to two remote accessories (RMPs or
RIMS) to monitor the operation of the UPS system from virtually any location within your
facility, up to 500 feet from the UPS.
The RMP contains a local horn and these backlit status indicators:
SYSTEM NORMAL
NOREDUNDANCY
ON GENERATOR
ON BYPASS
UPS
ALARM
ON
BAlTERY
BYPASS UNAVAILABLE
SHUTDOWN IMMINENT
The relay interface module (RIM) uses relay contact closures to indicate the operating
status and alarm condition of me UPS system. The RIM can provide these signals:
UPS AVAILABLE (connector pins 1 and 12)
UPS OFF LINE (connector

FAILURE (connector pine 6 and 16)

WEAK (connector pine 5 end 14)
