3.9 Adjusting the linearity
3.9.1 Adjusting the linearity (graphic version only)
Important: When adjusting the linearity for the first time after the weighing cell has been overhauled, ensure the
S-correction factors are set to 0 as described in chapter 3.13.3!
1. Ensure the balance has reached its operating temperature, is levelled and set to the service
mode according to chapter 3.8.
2. Have, according to the specifications, suitable linearisation reference weights at disposal: 2x half
load, 1x quarter load.
3. Switch the service menu by pressing MENU and call up "Linearisation".
4. Have the weighing pan empty and press {0} the balance recognises the zero point and
displays "Zero: ... Wait until stable ...".
5. Wait until "Zero: OK" appears, place the first half load and press {1/2} the balance
recognises the first half load value and displays "Half: ... Wait until stable ...".
6. Wait until "Zero: OK" appears, remove the first, place the second half load and press {1/2}
the balance recognises the second half load value and displays "Half: ... Wait until stable ...".
7. Wait until "Half: 2xOK" appears, place the full load (both half loads are placed now) and press
{1/1} the balance recognises the full load value and displays "Full: ... Wait until stable ...".
8. Wait until "Full: OK" appears and press {
} the balance sets the linearisation factors and
displays the full weight value.
9. Empty the weighing pan, tare the balance and check whether at quarter load and three quarter
load the linearity stays within the tolerated range, too. If it doesn't, adjust the S-correction
according to chapter 3.13.
3.9.2 Adjusting the linearity (10-Key version only)
Important: When adjusting the linearity for the first time after the weighing cell has been overhauled, ensure the
S-correction factors are set to 0 as described in chapter 3.13.4!
1. Ensure the balance has reached its operating temperature, is levelled and set to the service
mode according to chapter 3.8.
2. Have, according to the specifications, suitable linearisation reference weights at disposal: 2x half
load, 1x quarter load.
3. Hold
F
until "LINEARITY" appears.
4. Have the weighing pan empty and press {0} the balance recognises the zero point and the
display flashes.
5. Wait until the flashing stops, place the first half load and press {1/2} the balance recognises
the first half load value and the display flashes.
6. Wait until the flashing stops, remove the first, place the second half load and press {1/2}
the balance recognises the second half load value and the display flashes.
7. Wait until the flashing stops, place the full load (both half loads are placed now) and press
{1/1} the balance recognises the full load value and the display flashes.
8. Wait until the flashing stops and press {SET} the balance sets the linearisation factors and
displays the full weight value.
9. Empty the weighing pan, tare the balance and check whether at quarter load and three quarter
load the linearity stays within the tolerated range, too. If it doesn't, adjust the S-correction
according to chapter 3.13.
