3.10 Checking the repeatability
3.10.1 Checking the repeatability (with SCS)
1. Adjust the internal refence weight according to chapter 0.
2. Ensure the balance has reached its operating temperature, is levelled and in weighing mode
(switch it off and on by pressing ON/OFF twice).
3. Have, according to the specifications, a suitable full load reference weight at disposal.
4. Tare the balance and check whether the repeatability stays within the tolerated range. If it
doesn't, adjust the internal reference weight again, see step 1.
3.10.2 Checking the repeatability (without SCS)
1. Ensure the balance has reached its operating temperature, is levelled and in weighing mode
(switch it off and on by pressing ON/OFF twice).
2. Have, according to the specifications, a suitable full load reference weight at disposal.
3. Ensure by the configuration menu (see operating instructions) the calibration/adjustment mode
is set to "EXTERNAL".
4. Adjust the balance manually with the ready full load weight by holding TARE until
"CALIBRATION"/"ADJUSTMENT" appears and following the displayed instructions, see also the
operating instructions.
5. Tare the balance and check whether the repeatability stays within the tolerated range. If it
doesn't, re-adjust the balance, see step 4.
3.11 Checking the linearity
1. Ensure the balance has reached its operating temperature, is levelled and in weighing mode
(switch it off and on by pressing ON/OFF twice).
2. Have, according to the specifications, suitable linearisation reference weights at disposal: 2x half
load, 1x quarter load.
3. Tare the balance and check whether the linearity stays at half, full, quarter and three quarter
load within the tolerated range. If it doesn't at half or full load, adjust the linearity according to
chapter 3.9 again. If it doesn't at quarter or three quarter load, adjust the S-correction
according to chapter 3.13.
