SEATING SECTION
Connect a meter to the 2 pins indicated in the 5.
photo (Fig 3.99).
Check continuity through the switch by pressing in 6.
on the CRS plunger. Note, when the seat-back is
in the full up position the switch should be open.
When the seat lowers the switch should close.
If the switch does not change state, trace the 7.
cable from the QMAC to the other end.
Disconnect the 6-pin connector. 8.
Check continuity through the 6-pin male connector 9.
to the Shear CRS by pressing in on the plunger on
the Shear CRS. Refer to the photo to determine
the correct pins to measure continuity through (Fig
3.100).
If the switch changes state, replace the cable with 10.

Replace the Shear CRS and cable assembly if 11.

Ensure that the switch operates when the back 12.

not change state as the back is lowered, adjust
the CRS. Refer to Shear CRS Replacement and
Adjustment section in this manual.
Replace the QMAC if all other components are 13.
