SEATING SECTION
Adjustments of the New Recline for the seat-pan are
similar to the old Perfect Fit Recline. Refer to that por-
tion of the Rhythm and Groove Tech Service Manual for
those procedures.
Adjustments for the seat-back are simpler than the old
Perfect Fit Seating System. Complete the following
procedures to complete these adjustments.
The seat-back angle is adjusted using either the 1.
HHP or Quickie iQ. No mechanical procedures
are required. Refer to the HHP or Quickie iQ
Operation Manual.
The pivot point (seat-back height) may be moved 2.
up in the seat-back bracket. The factory setting
is 4” measured from the top of the seat-pan to
the pivot point. This may be adjusted up in ¾”
intervals (Fig 3.109).
Use a 7/16” socket and ratchet to remove the 3.
pivot point (A). Raise it to the desired location
(Fig 3.110).
Reinsert and tighten the bolts securing the pivot 4.
point.
As the pivot point is raised, the Recline Actuator 5.
and Gas Strut must be raised an equal amount.
Do this by removing the mounting bolts (B) to
raise the units (Fig 3.111).
Note: if the pivot point is raised, it is suggested 6.
to replace the back pan with a larger pan to de-
crease the gap from the bottom of the back to the
seat-pan.
