3. For IP Address do one of the following:
• Type an IP address for the ODU (for Network mode), OR
• Click Local Connection (if you are connected directly to the IDU
LAN port).
The default IP address for the ODU is 10.0.0.120. The Subnet mask
is 255.0.0.0. For Versions 1.700 and greater, any valid subnet mask
may be used.
4. Enter the password

5. If you are a user with Read-Write permission, click Options to enter
the community options.
WinLink™ 1000 is protected with Community passwords. A user
may be defined with read-only permission or with read-write
permission. See the section Changing Community Values for more
