The OptiPoint function (AXIS only) calculates the optimal switching-on and switching-off point for
spreading in headlands on the basis of the settings in the machine control unit; see 4.6.9 Calculate
OptiPoint.
To use the GPS control functions of the QUANTRON-A control unit, the serial communication
must be activated!
• In the menu System/Test > Data transmission, activate the sub-menu item GPS-Control.
AXIS with VariSpread pro: Depending on which GPS terminal is used, the machine control can
reduce the number of sections. Please contact your dealer about this.
If application maps are also used, then serial communication must be activated.
• In the menu System/Test > Data transmission, activate the sub-menu item GPS-Control +
VRA.
The target quantity from the application map on the GPS terminal is then automatically processed
in the QUANTRON-A control unit.
The A symbol next to the spreading wedges indicates that the automatic function is enabled. The
control unit opens and closes the individual sections depending on the position in the field. The
spreading starts only after when you press Start/Stop.
WARNING!
Risk of injury due to discharged fertilizer
The SectionControl function automatically starts the spreading operation without warning.
Ejected fertilizer can harm the eyes and nasal mucous membranes.
There is also a risk of slipping.

Ensure that nobody is present in the hazard zone during the spreading operation.
