Notices
Read this manual thoroughly and carefully before attempting to install or operate the
SR1500 antenna system. Observing these instructions is critical to ensure proper
installation. Follow each detail to ensure accurate and safe installation.
Follow all warnings and cautionary instructions in this manual.
The customer’s Direct Broadcast Satellite (DBS) account must be set up BEFORE
beginning the SR1500 antenna installation.
Save the shipping box and packing materials for the antenna. If the system
needs to be returned for maintenance, while under warranty, you will be
responsible for proper packaging.
The SR1500 antenna installation hardware provided in your kit will fit almost
any design of roof rack. There are, however, some vehicles with larger crossbars
that may not be compatible with the provided mount.
Install the antenna as far away as possible from any satellite radio antennas to
prevent interference.
Always use two people to move or lift the antenna to avoid strain or injury.
Thoroughly inspect the vehicle’s roof rack to ensure it can support the antenna
weight of 32 kg. Verify that the roof rack is in good condition prior to
installation. Seek professional assistance to tighten or adjust the mounting
brackets, as required for safety and safe operation of the vehicle.
The SR1500 antenna, when properly installed, increases the vehicle height by at
least 27.5 cm over the existing roof rack or cab. This includes an at least 2.5 cm
gap between the antenna and the vehicle roof for necessary air flow, plus the
antenna’s height of 24 cm. Make sure you are aware of the new height of the
vehicle with the antenna and mount above the roof rack. Use caution when
driving under overpasses, parking garages and other low clearance areas.
