Table 2: Antenna components
Control unit for the azimuth motor.
A belt-driven motion mechanism that turns the rotating
platform in azimuth based on RSSI power levels and gyro
block readings.
The gyro block and inclinometer control part of the antenna
acquisition and tracking process. They ensure tracking under
normal conditions and maintain the orientation of the
antenna toward the satellite for some period during
blockages, when the satellite signal is not available.
The panel consists of a multi-layer structure of two-port
radiating elements and a complex low loss feeder system. It
operates with two orthogonal polarizations, which are later
used for precise linear polarization control.
Contains all antenna parts and it is attached to the static
platform by a central bearing and peripheral damping rollers.
Base of the entire antenna that holds the rotating platform, a
top cover radome, a connector box and four mounting
dampers.
Standard PLL-based device that down-converts different
receive signal frequencies to IF band.
Positions the panel to the proper elevation angle using a
stepper motor and a belt-driven pulley. An elevation home
sensor is used to define the initial position of the panel.
