Notes About Clamp Installation
The SR1500 antenna clamps onto either roof rack crossbars or mounting legs with an
adjustable, padded clamping system designed to secure the unit on the fixed base. The
clamp brackets accommodate different size crossbars, and uneven crossbar widths.
The clamp kit includes:
an upper bracket assembly, which comes preinstalled on the antenna
a lower bracket assembly parts which are included in a parts kit. The lower
bracket parts are supplied as part of a kit. For the part descriptions, see Clamp
Kit, on page 41.
Head screws (No. 9) secure the whole clamp assembly to the antenna.

The head screws are accessed through holes on the top of the antenna. Remove the
rubber caps to access the head screws.
To secure the antenna using the clamp kit:
1. Mount the antenna with only its upper brackets installed on the crossbars or
legs. The upper bracket assembly comes preinstalled on the antenna, at four
antenna mounting spacer positions.
