19. Extended calibration
a) Determining the Highest Position of the Printing Plate
As soon as the head bed scan has been performed once, the Repetier-Host software can be used to read the matrix of the printing plate scan.
The values of the matrix can be used to determine the position on the printing plate that has the shortest distance from the nozzle. This can
generally be used for all other scans while nothing changes at the printing plate.
Preparation
• Ifithasnotbeendoneyet,performaheatbedscanasitisdescribedinchapter"14.Calibration".
• Ifithasnotbeendoneyet,installthesoftwareRepetier-Hostincl.thedriversandconnecttheprintertothecomputer(seechapter"12.Soft-
wareandrmwareinstallation").
• Ifapplicable,entertheCOMportandconnectthesoftwaretotheprinter(seechapter"18.a)Connectionoftheconnectedprinter").The
symbol at the upper left must be green and it must say "Disconnect" below.
Reading out the matrix
• First,drawthelowerpartofthewindowwherethelogisshownalittleupwiththemouse.
• Click"Clear Log".
