3.8.7 INK DETECTION ADJUSTMENT
Purpose: To ensure that the CPU detects a no-ink condition.
CAUTION: Before attempting this procedure, wipe off the ink around the ink roller.
To do this, set SP2-10 (ink detection) to OFF, and feed paper until ink
ends.
After finishing this procedure, do not forget to return SP2-10 to the
default (ink detection on).
SP6-40 Ink detection adjustment ( 5.7.2)
3.8.8 MAIN MOTOR PULLEY POSITION
After putting the pulley back
on the main motor shaft, refer
to the above illustration for the
correct position of the pulley.
3.8.9 MAIN DRIVE TIMING BELT ADJUSTMENT
Purpose: After the timing belt is
replaced, correct belt
tension must be applied.
Rear covers ( 3.2.2)
MPU ( 3.2.3)
1. Loosen the screws [A], [B], and
[C].
2. Move the tension roller [D] to the
right with a screwdriver [E] as
shown.
3. Tighten the screws [A], [B], and
[C].
4. Remove the screwdriver.
