Thermal adjustment
The PID-controller algorithm works always as follows:
ACTUAL VALUE = REQUIRED VALUE
REQUIRED VALUE = TEMPERATURE VALUE + CORRECTION VALUE
Explanation:
ACTUAL VALUE Actual value of the ADC
REQUIRED VALUE Sum of TEMPERATURE VALUE + CORRECTION VALUE
TEMPERATURE VALUE Value assigned to a temperature level of 37 °C, 30 °C or 25 °C. This
value is automatically selected by the device according to the state of
operating. The temperature value is board-characteristic and cuvette
adaptor specific. The values for the temperature levels of 37 °C, 30 °C
or 25 °C are ascertained in factory and noted during the check of the
board. They are stored within the battery powered RAM.
Dependent on the used cuvette adaptor different service programs can
show and edit the values stored in battery powered RAM. The system
can be adjusted to lower or higher temperature values. A change of
about 25 counts means a temperature change of 0.1 °C.
Standard cuvette adaptor:
Service program S8 (TEMP. FUNCT) /
item 2 (E-TEMP. VALUE)
Flow-through cuvette adaptor:
Service program S8 (TEMP. FUNCT) /
item 3 (D-TEMP. VALUE)
Service program S8 (TEMP. FUNCT) /
item 4 (TEMP. CALIBR.) calibrates the system
automatically.
The values are noted on a sticker. The sticker is shown on the left and
put on top of the IC15 (SABC517).
The sticker shows the serial serial number of the board (e.g. 3501) and
the temperature values of 25 °C, 30 °C, 37 °C of standard cuvette
adaptor (S) and flow-through adaptor (FTH).
In addition the values are documented in the instrument card of
Photometer 5010 and stored in a file at the manufacturer.
CORRECTION VALUE Correction value in the range of 0 and 9999. The default value is 3000.
After using the service program S1 (System init.) all correction values
are set to the default value 3000.
Dependent on the used cuvette adaptor different utility programs can
show and edit the values stored in battery powered RAM. The system
can be adjusted to lower or higher temperature values. A change of
about 25 counts means a temperature change of 0.1 °C.
Standard cuvette adaptor:
Utility program U15 (E-CUV. CORR.)
Flow-through cuvette adaptor:
Utility program U16 (D-CUV. CORR.)
Utility program U8 (TEMP. CALIBR.) calibrates the system
automatically.
