Control panel
The control panel allows navigation in the menu structure and menus and modification of
settings. The individual controls are operated using the mouse or keyboard.
1) Used to change between menu entries, control editable values and enter numerical values; each click of the
arrow keys (top/bottom) increments or decrements the number (corresponding arrow keys on the keyboard)
2) For editing (change to editing mode) and confirming settings (corresponds to the enter key on the keyboard)
3) Corresponds to the UP and DOWN cursor keys
4) Used to make fast changes between menu entries, quickly control editable values and quickly enter numerical
values; can be rotated using the mouse
5) One step back to the last menu that was selected; also used to cancel settings that have not yet been confir-
med with OK
6) Back to Status menu
7) Display of the context menu for the current menu window or menu entry (standard context menus: Info: Help
texts and (for menu entries) also the information about which user rights are needed for changes; Open:
Opens the menu or menu entry; Add to bookmarks: Creates a bookmark for the current menu window; Edit
Offline: Entry can be edited without making the change immediately; Reset Fault: Resets saved fault mes-
sages after the fault has been corrected see also "Context Menu" under "Local Operation"
8) Not enabled in this software version
Locked and variable settings
Depending on the user rights concerned and the type of access (local or remote access)
some or all processing parameters can be locked. These include restrictions arising from
the actual constellation chosen. An appropriate symbol in front of the parameter value
shows whether or not a parameter can be changed at this time.
Symbol Meaning
The present user can change the setting. A change takes effect straight away.
The present user can change the setting. For the setting to take effect, a restart

The setting cannot be changed at the present time. Possible reasons:
The user does not have the necessary rights.

Access is via the remote port whereas the instrument is in local mode.
