3 Sx801 Menus
The "Operating" chapter of the manual for the R&S SX801 contains detailed descriptions of
the menus for the exciter. These are also the same menus that the compact transmitter us-
ers.
Accordingly, the following sections describe only those menus that differ in terms of the soft-
ware for the standalone exciter and the SCV8000E/R compact transmitter.
Note Please note that the menu paths were modified as follows after editing of the manual for the
R&S SX801 was completed (1st edition):
3.1 Transmitter Status: Status Menu
The Status contains an overview of faults, warnings and status messages for the individual
components and functions of the transmitter.
Depending on the TV standard that is set, the status indications will vary.
The Status branches off for DVB to the following menu windows:
– Device Status: Status information about the transmitter's current status
– Input Status: Status information on configuration and state of input interfaces
For ATV and ATSC there is only one menu window Status in each case with status infor-
mation about the current status of the transmitter as well as about the input interfaces.
3.1.1 Status Indications, Warnings and Fault Messages
When warnings and fault messages occur, this usually means that transmission operation
is impaired. Different displays are used to distinguish the severity of an impairment or the
"quality" of a defect. The following applies:
