Chapter 5 Operating
2104.6536.72 - 5.55 - E-1
3.4.3 Amplifier > Setup > Trimming
Setting item Explanation
Output Power Sets the forward power
Power Reduction Tests the warning and fault threshold
Setting a power level reduces the output power of the transmitter
although the actual nominal power (output power) remains the same. A
reduction in the output power is simulated to test the warning and fault
threshold.
Warning Limit Selection of a dB value referenced to the nominal power setting for the
forward power which, if exceeded, causes a warning to be output
Fail Limit Selection of a dB value referenced to the nominal power setting for the
forward power which, if exceeded, causes a fault message to be output
Display Explanation
Power Indicator Indication of the currently emitted power
RF Monitor Att. Indication of the attenuation value at the RF test output of the transmit-
ter, calibrated at the relevant transmit frequency
The transmitter's RF test output is located at the last amplifier in the sys-
tem and corresponds to the following connector:
– AMP RF MON For transmitters with one amplifier
– MAIN RF MON For transmitters with two amplifiers
Setting item Explanation
Supply Voltage Changes the supply voltage to improve the efficiency of the amplifiers
Supply Automatic Automatic regulation (On) or manual setting of the supply voltage (Off)
Delta Bias PA1/PA2 Balancing of the base and extended amplifiers for the same output
power
Automatic PA1/PA2 Activates (On) or deactivates (Off) balancing
