Operation via the web browser
Monitoring and control via SNMP
In the case of operation via the web browser of a connected PC/client PC, there is the fol-

1.1 Local and Remote Operation

Local operation
For on-site configuration work, the R&S SX801 must be set to local. With the instrument in
local mode you can enter parameter settings by using the keys on the instrument or via a
PC connected to X3 (Ethernet Local). When the instrument is in this operating mode, re-
mote access is restricted to the querying of values.
To switch to local operation, press the LOCAL key (the associated LED lights up).
Remote operation
For remote control, the R&S SX801 must be set to remote. With the instrument in remote
mode you can change settings via the X2 interface (Ethernet Remote). When the instru-
ment is in this operating mode it cannot be configured locally (via the keyboard or via X3).
To deactivate local operation, press the LOCAL key again (the associated LED goes out).
