6.8.3.3 Measuring the vehicle area in the 3D model
The 3D model on the details page has a function you can use to measure individual areas
of the vehicle shown. This allows you to identify and check the dimensions of the towing
vehicle or the distance between the towing vehicle and the trailer, for example.
Go to the toolbar in the 3D model area and click the Measure icon.
Regardless of which graphical display you have selected, a box containing the maximum
vehicle dimensions appears above the vehicle. The dimensions of this box are displayed
in the upper right area of the 3D view. The values correspond to the maximum vehicle
dimensions after invoking the function.
Depending on the selected perspective, the 3D model creates a visualization of the
measurements by means of a length, width, and height line.
Selecting the view
Rotate the model so you can clearly see the relevant dimension line.
The side view visualizes the length line of the box. This view makes it possible to
measure the length (and height) with ease.
