OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS | TIC
Requirements for the mounting position and rotation
If possible, the 2D LiDAR sensor mounted on the side of the vehicle edge should be on
the same level as the associated system function (TIC102 / TIC502). A tolerance of
± 0.5 m in the Z-direction if permitted.

(on the Z-axis)
When mounting the device, make sure that the LMS Axle is aligned correctly on all three
axes.
You can tell whether the rotation of the 2D LiDAR sensor is correct by considering the top,
side, and front views.
Rotation about the Y-axis: The signal must be output at an angle of 90° in relation to
the direction of travel. The system tolerates a rotational error of ± 2° about the Y-axis.
