Password setup
It is strongly recommended that you change your meter’s password from the default
value of 0 (zero).
Your meter’s username and password cannot be retrieved if lost. If you lose your
meter’s user access information, you will not be able to change any settings or access
any data that requires this login information.

Failure to follow these instructions can result in loss of access to the device.
Record your device's user and password information in a secure location.

Advanced security username and password through the display
You can enter your username and password on the meter’s display when advanced
security is enabled.
When you attempt to change a setting through the display of a device that has
advanced security enabled, you are prompted to provide the username and password
created using ION Setup. If the access level associated with the user is not sufficient to
change the setting, you cannot modify the setting and the message
INVALID SECURITY
LEVEL
is displayed.
NOTE: Only standard printable ASCII characters are allowed for passwords
created in ION Setup.
Changing your meter’s display password using the display
You can change your display password using your meter’s display.
NOTE: The display password is also used as the webpage password if standard
security is enabled.
1. Go to Setup Menu > Password Setup.
2. Configure your meter’s display password.
