Limit monitoring
9.2 Influence of hysteresis and delay time on limit monitoring
Analog input module AI Energy Meter 480VAC/CT HF (6ES7134-6PA00-0CU0)
Manual, 07/2018, A5E42674880-AA
79
The following figure shows the value-over-time for two measured values using the example
of a high and low limit as well as the influence of hysteresis and delay time on the counting
of the limit violations.
Configured limit.
Signal wave
Configured delay time. Is taken into consid-
eration during coming and going.
Limit monitoring with hysteresis and delay
time
Hysteresis range. Only considered for out-
going.
Limit monitoring with hysteresis, but without
delay time
Value-over-time for which the limit is moni-
tored.
Limit monitoring without hysteresis, but with
delay time
Edge change. Counter for limit violations is
incremented by 1. If parameterized, a hard-
ware interrupt is triggered.
