1.6.5 Extension Unit and operator controls
Extension components - Extension Unit
Note
When the IPC PX
-39A PRO is extended with an Extension Unit, the effect on the device
approvals for the entire system must be taken into account.
The Extension Unit is used to install additional operator controls under a SIMATIC PRO device
of the type "Suitable for extension components" with 16:9 display.
The example in the figure below shows the Extension Unit 22" with eight operator controls
including emergency stop button.
The operator controls on the Extension Units can be customized. The Extension Units come
without operator controls. The available slots are suitable for installation of operator controls.
The Extension Units are available in 4 different sizes:
• 15"
• 19"
• 22"
• 24"
