7.4.2 Replace the M.2 NVMe SSD in the device
Requirements
• The device is disconnected from the power supply.
• The device is open, see important information under "Opening and closing the backplane
cover (Page 68)".
• An M.2 NVMe SSD is installed on the motherboard.
• An (angled) screwdriver of the type Torx T8 and T10.
Procedure - Removal option 1
If you do not have a removable tray installed in the device, only steps 4. to 8. below are to be
performed.
Procedure - Removal option 2
1.
Pull the SSD drive carrier interface card
out of the slot of the motherboard.
2.
Hold the SSD drive carrier and remove the
marked screws of the SSD drive carrier
with the type Torx T10 screwdriver.
3.
Remove the SSD drive carrier and put it
down safely.
