4. Drag the battery module and drop it into the Device view.
Alternatively, the battery module can be added by double-clicking on the entry in the
hardware catalog.
5. Drag the battery module and drop at the first free slot to the right next to the SITOP
UPS1600.
The battery module is inserted at the selected slot.
6. Save the hardware configuration.
You have assigned a battery module to the basic unit SITOP UPS1600.
How you change the number and type of SITOP BAT1600 or SITOP UPS110 battery modules
used is described under Parameterizing UPS1600 with STEP 7 in the TIA Portal (Page 70).
The operating parameters for third-party batteries can be adapted under properties in Section
"Device configuration/energy storage".
