Auto Paragraph Indent
The Auto Paragraph Indent feature allows you to instruct the cursor to return to a temporary left
margin for text that must be indented for several
lines.
Deactivating this feature returns you to
your original left margin setting.
Example: Original left margin The quick brown fox jumped over
a lazy bear,
a lazy dog,
temporary left margin - a lazy giraffe.
The following instructions apply to all typewriter models except those listed below. See
instructions below for these models.
To
Activate
AUTO
PARAGRAPH INDENT:
1,
Tab or space to desired indent location.
2,
Depress and
HOLD
the CODE
KEY
while depressing the appropriate top row key for
AUTO
PARAGRAPH INDENT.
3,
Type the desired text. When the right margin
is
reached or if you depress the RETURN
KEY,
the cursor returns to the indented position.
To
Deactivate
AUTO
PARAGRAPH INDENT:
1.
Depress and
HOLD
the CODE
KEY
while depressing the appropriate top row key for
AUTO
PARAGRAPH
INDENT
OFF.
In some models this
is
the same key used to activate the feature.
The cursor advances one line and returns to the original left margin.

Although
Auto
Paragraph Indent is not identified by an overlay on your typewriter, it is
available when connected to
PWP.
You m ay activate it as follows:
1.
Tab or space to desired indent location.
2.
Depress and
HOLD
the CODE
KEY
while depressing the Left Margin Set Key.
3.
Type the desired text. When the right margin
is
reached or if you depress the
RETURN
KEY,
the cursor returns to the indented position.
To
Deactivate:
1.
Depress an d

the

while depressing the Left Margin Set
Key.
The Cursor
advances one line and returns to the original left margin.
