Chapter 7 – Maintenance and Printer Status
7.1 Printhead Maintenance
The Printhead screens provide status information and control functions required to maintain the
printheads. Under normal conditions, the operator does not need to utilize these screens
because the basic printhead setup is completed whenever a new job is started. There are 2
dialog boxes associated with printhead maintenance. One indicates the status of the printhead
and allows the user to initiate automated maintenance commands.
The second screen contains specific information pertaining to the printhead operating
parameters and also provides more detailed maintenance and testing commands. To access
the printhead maintenance dialog boxes, select the build or support printhead icon located in the
second system idle screen.
