CKP SENSOR PEAK VOLTAGE
Dtsconnect the CKP sensor coupler

Connect the multi-circuit tester with the peak volt adaptor as
follows.

When using the multi-circuit tester and peak volt
ada~tor, refer to the aDDroDriate instruction manual.
Shift the transmission to the neutral position, turn the ignition
switch to the
"ON"
position.
Push the starter button and allow the engine to turn
for
a few
seconds, and then measure the CKP sensor peak voltage.
Repeat the above procedure a few times and measure the
highest CKP sensor peak voltage.

V
and more
NOTE:
Affer checking the
CKP
sensor peak voltage, clear the
DTC
using
SDS
tool.
If the peak voltage is within the specification, check the continu-
ity between the CKP sensor coupler and ECM coupler.

Normally, use the needle pointed probe to the back-
side of the lead wlre coupler to prevent the terminal
bend and terminal alignment.
CKP SENSOR RESISTANCE
Disconnect the CKP sensor coupler.
Measure the resistance between the lead wires usinq the
-
multi-circuit tester.
If
the resistance is not within the specified
value, the CKP sensor must be replaced.
