A message waiting can be indicated in one of the following ways:
• Periodic display and muted ringing
• Illuminated message key (when programmed on your telephone)
• Built-in message lamp illuminated (enabled or disabled system-wide).
Messages can be left by a caller or by voice mail. Retrieving a message can be
performed in either of two ways, both of which are defined system-wide:
Hotline (automatic) or manual. When the handset is lifted the message type can
be identified as follows: Hotline (ringback tone), Manual (regular dial tone).
To automatically receive Hotline Attendant Message:
When you hear periodic muted ringing and see a message flashing on the
display:
1. Lift handset or press the lit
[MESSAGE] key or press any call key. ATTENDANT

MESSAGE WAITING ON
2. Listen for the ringback tone. INTERNAL

ON
3. Wait for answer.

left the message
