Malicious Call Trace On/Off #1740
Details of incoming calls can be recorded using Malicious Call Trace. They are
added to the record when your station rings even if you do not answer. The
number of calls stored for your station is defined by your system administrator.
When this number is exceeded, details of the next call received replace the
oldest record.
Using a preprogrammed key, the feature may be activated while a call is in
progress. Details of the current call and subsequent ones are recorded until you
cancel the feature. Should you hear a reorder tone, Malicious Call Trace is
denied at your station (as defined by the Class Of Service). To use the feature,
request the Attendant to activate Malicious Call Trace at your station.
To activate malicious call trace:
1. Press [MALICIOUS CALL TRACE]. CALL TRACE OFF
OFF
or
Dial feature code #1740 followed by activation code
. CALL TRACE ON
ON
2. Listen for the confirmation tone.
NO TRACE RECORD
OFF
NO TRACE RECORD: indicates there are insufficient system resources for
the feature to be available at your station at present.
To cancel malicious call trace:
1. Press the lit [MALICIOUS CALL TRACE]. CALL TRACE ON
ON
or
Dial feature code #1740 followed by the cancellation code
. CALL TRACE OFF
OFF
2. Listen for the confirmation tone.
