Silent Monitor, 1-Way Splitting #1448
The 1-way (Split) Silent Monitor feature allows monitoring each party of the
2-way conversation separately. Only one of the conversing parties can be heard
at a time. The feature can be activated from idle only.
To activate a 1-way Silent Monitor:
1. Dial Split Silent Monitor feature code #1448 or press [SPLIT MONITOR]. SPLIT SILENT MON
2. Dial the port number of the original destination (1st party). SPLIT MON (

• To monitor the 1st conversing party, dial cancellation code , SPLIT MON (

While monitoring:
1. Monitoring volume can be adjusted by pressing .
2. To cancel Split Silent Monitor, press
[SPKR] or hang up.
3. To whisper to the 1st party, press any
[WHISPER] key (see also page 188). WHSPR PAGE (PORT#)
Notes:
1) Whispering to the 2nd conversing party is not allowed.
2) When you hear the reorder tone, it means that the port is protected
against monitoring (secured). The following message will be
