To search the Directory:
Note: Both Shared and Personal directories are accessed by the first
constituent of an entry. If an entry consists of a given name and a
family name, the search will look for the attribute listed first.
1. Press
[DIRECTORY] or dial the Directory feature code #1994. DIRECTORY
SEARCH: ON
2. Enter all or part of the required name (up to 16 characters) using the
alphanumeric keys (see “Keypad - Alphabetic Mode” on page 53
and “Editing Keys” on page 54).
You may also use keys to scroll through the Directory.
SEARCH:

3. While the name or number of the retrieved contact party is displayed, you
can do one of the following:
• Place a call by pressing asterisk (
>
) (see steps below)
• Modify a Personal Directory contact information by dialing #2 (see page 51)
• Permanently remove a Personal Directory entry by dialing #0 (see
page 51)
To place a call from the Directory
1. Retrieve the required name (see steps above). SEARCH:
name
ON
2. Dial asterisk (
>
) to call currently displayed contact.
If you are calling an internal number, the following display appears:
INTERNAL
called name
If you are calling an external number, the following display appears: OUT
trunk#/name
DIAL
called number
