6.1.4 REPLACING A COMPONENT THAT INTERACTS WITH
BRAKING SYSTEM (E.G. KNOB, BRAKE CALLIPER,
FLYWHEEL)
If a component is replaced that interacts with the braking system, the following is necessary:
▪ Calibrate the brake, as detailed in §”6.3 BRAKE CALIBRATION”.
Morever, take into account the following information:
The ywheel aluminium disc and the brake calliper are two critical components of the equipment.
These components must be replaced only when strictly necessary.
Replacing the aluminium disc could cause a decrease in the accuracy of the Watt values.
After these components are replaced, if the customer discovers a dierence between the Watt val-
ues on the display and what is actually perceived while pedalling, contact HQ After Sales Second
Level Support.
6.2 EQUIPMENT TESTING AFTER THE
INTERVENTION OF TECHNICAL SERVICE
After a technical service intervention, the technician MUST check - in the same conditions in which
the customer discovered the problem - that the fault has been resolved.
The technician MUST also perform the following standard operating tests:
• Check the plays of the saddle/handlebar. If necessary adjust them;
• Check that the equipment is stable on a at surface. If necessary, level the product;
• Switch on the equipment and start an exercise:
- Pedal and check that the speed indicator varies;
- Check that the machine resistance changes based on the direction of knob rotation.
• Check that the peripheral devices function correctly (headphones, speakers, TGS key,
Webcam, chest strap).
• Check the presence / the state of wear of warning label. Check if the warning label is read-
able.
