3-Identify which kind of selector pin is installed on the bench, by using the pictures below. Picture
1a shows the old version, while picture 1b shows the latest version.
If the selector pin of the bench is the OLD VERSION (1a): update the pin with the code
SH0000671, which is shown in (1b). For details see appendix b: how to replace the old
knob-pin group with the new knob-pin group sh0000671.
NOTE: the first P820 bench with the new pin (1b) has SN P820 03000016).
If the selector pin of the bench is the NEW VERSION (1b): check the presence of the glue
along the thread of the two grub screws (D). If not present, apply Loctite 2700 or 270 or
strong/permanent glue. Then, install the knob to the selector pin by making sure that the two
grub screws (D) nest into the 2 slots on the inside of the knob. Check that the knob rotates
within 10 degrees. (see figures below)
