4.1.7. MECHANICAL ADJUSTMENTS
A few mechanical adjustments are necessary, described in detail below:
Additional weight sensor position
Adjust the position of the additional weight sensor so that there is a 3-millimetre gap between
the sensor and magnet and that the machine detects it when selected. To change its position,
adjust the nut and counter-nut fastening it to the support.
CAUTION: The Wellness Mate cannot detect the additional weight selected until the
exercise has begun.
Weight stack position sensor
This sensor, housed in the encoder group, detects the magnet positioned on the cross: when the
weight stack is in resting position, the sensor is a closed circuit; during the exercise, the sensor
is an open circuit. Therefore, depending on the status of the sensor, the position changes
detected by the encoder can be attributed to selecting a different plate (sensor shorted) or to
movement by the weight stack (sensor open).
Its adjustment must therefore take into account the fact that the contact must open as soon as the
exercise begins. We therefore recommend that you follow the procedure below:
1. On the display, select the system monitor function.
2. Move the sensor near the solenoid. The monitor function detects that the contact is closed.
3. Move the sensor away from the magnet until the monitor function detects that the contact opens.
4. Slowly move the sensor closer to the magnet until the monitor function detects that the contact
closes.
5. Move the sensor 3 mm closer to the solenoid.
6. Tighten the holding nut.
7. Using the normal working functions, make sure that the system can discriminate, without error,
between the weight stack stopped and weight stack moving conditions.
CAUTION: Incorrect adjustment of the weight stack sensor will cause a lower weight to
be displayed than the one selected.
4.1.8. MACHINE CONFIGURATION
After completing the installation, it is recommended to carry out the machine configuration as
instructed in the manual “Wellness Mate: Technical service manual” and “Power Control: Technical
service manual”.
