7.3 Electrical Characteristics
As mentioned in the previous paragraph, the meaning of some of the signals is
different for the comparator function and the list sweep comparator function. However,
the electrical characteristics of these signals are identical for the two operations. The
following descriptions apply to both the comparator function and the list sweep
comparator function.
7.3.1 DC Isolated Outputs
Each DC output (pins 1 through 11, pins 19 through 21, pins 30 through 31) is
isolated using an open collector output opto-coupler. The output voltage of each line
is set by a pull-up resistor on the handler interface board. The pull-up resistors can be
connected to the internally supplied voltage (+5V), or to an externally applied voltage
( EXTV: +5V to +24V) by setting jumpers.
The electrical characteristics of the DC isolated outputs are divided into two types.
(See Table 7-4)
Since the power source for the Comparison Output and Control Output signals are
different, two circuit commons (COM1, COM2) are made available.
