PROCEDURE Setting up the staff
1. Set the foot plate on the ground so that the
staff will not sink.
2. When using a BGS staff, connect the sections
correctly by making sure the numbers on the
numeric scale side of the staffs run in
unbroken order.
3. Keeping an eye on the circular bubble scope
on the staff, set the staff in the foot plate so
that it stands up straight.
4. Turn the barcode scale towards the instrument.
