lowers the attachment to the lowest position (i.e., the
O PERATING ) position.
• Raise the attachment: Press the rear of the
switch.
• Lower the attachment: Press the front of the
switch.
Raise the attachment to the T RANSPORT position
whenever you transport the machine between
locations. Lower the attachment to the O PERATING
position whenever you are not using the machine.
PT O Switch
• Engage the PT O: Pull up on the switch.
• Disengage the PT O: Push the switch down.
The only time you should engage the PT O is when the
PT O attachment is in the O PERATING position (lowered
to the ground with the driveshaft connected) and you
are ready to begin operation.
Note: If you leave the operator ’ s seat while the
PT O switch is in the O N position, the machine will
automatically shut of f the engine; refer to Resetting
the PT O Function ( page 42 ) .
Key Switch
The key switch has 3 positions: O FF , O N /P REHEAT ,
and S TART .
Use the switch to start or shut of f the engine [refer
to Starting the Engine ( page 42 ) or Shutting Of f the
Engine ( page 43 ) ] or to review the display-screen
information [refer to Understanding the Display-Screen
Information ( page 39 ) ].
Throttle Control
The throttle control adjusts the engine speed.
• Increase the engine speed: Move the lever
forward or push the FORWARD position on the
switch.
• Decrease the engine speed: Move the lever
rearward or push the REARWARD position on the
switch.
Glow-Plug Switch
Use the glow-plug switch to help start a cold engine.
Display Screen
The display screen shows information about your
machine, such as the operating status, various
diagnostics, and other information.
