Service Interval : Every 400 hours
Servicing the Fuel Filter
Models 31900 and 31901
1. Rotate the fuel-valve lever to the O FF position
( Figure 59 ).
2. Clean the area around the fuel-lter head
( Figure 59 ).

3. Remove the lter and clean the lter head
mounting surface ( Figure 59 ).
4. Lubricate the lter gasket with clean lubricating
engine oil; refer to the engine owner's manual
for additional information.
5. Install the dry lter canister by hand until the
gasket contacts the lter head, then rotate it an
additional 1/2 turn.
6. Rotate the fuel-valve lever to the O N position
( Figure 59 ).
7. Start the engine and check for fuel leaks around
the lter head.

Models 31907 and 31909
1. Clean the area around the fuel-lter head
( Figure 60 ).

2. Remove the lter and clean the lter head
